Who operates Recall Rex
Recall Rex and this website are operated by Alex Ventura Ruiz-Hernandez (“we,” “us”). This policy describes information handled by the Recall Rex iPhone app, this website, and customer support.

Information on your device
The app stores the following locally to provide and personalize its features:
- Your optional preferred name, Rex’s name, pets’ names, and selected pet types.
- Onboarding answers, including interests, goals, previous recall sources, commitment selection, and setup progress.
- Saved recalls and available article details, cached feed results, images, and the time of the last check.
- Operational preferences, purchase-recovery state, and whether the app has attempted to show Apple’s review prompt.
Recall Rex does not send your names, pet details, onboarding answers, saved recall list, or search text to an app-operated server or to RevenueCat. Search filters the information loaded in the app. There is no Recall Rex account or account-based cloud sync.
Device or cloud backups provided by your operating system may include local app data, depending on your settings.
Subscriptions & paywall data
Apple processes App Store purchases. RevenueCat provides subscription validation, restoration, access management, and the remotely configured paywall.
RevenueCat processes purchase and subscription history, transaction and product identifiers, access status, an automatically generated app-user identifier, a device vendor identifier, and technical information such as app, operating-system and SDK versions, device model, language, storefront, and request metadata. Service requests also expose connection information such as an IP address to their recipients.
The RevenueCat paywall records events such as views, closes, plan or component interactions, purchase attempts, cancellations, and errors. Events can include timestamps, session and offering identifiers, locale, and product details. We use subscription and paywall information to deliver paid access, handle support, understand subscription performance, and improve the purchase experience.
Your optional name and pet details are not attached to these records by Recall Rex. An automatically generated identifier is not the same as having no data collected. We do not receive your full payment-card details from Apple.
Requests to official sources
The app contacts the FDA, USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service, and hosts of linked official article, image, or label resources to retrieve recall information. These services receive ordinary connection and request information, such as your IP address and the requested resource, under their own policies.
Opening an official notice uses an in-app browser. Sharing a recall passes its official link to the service you choose through the system share sheet. Your use of those destinations is governed by their policies.
Website & support
This website is hosted through Sites and delivered using Cloudflare to serve its pages and protect them from abuse. Those providers may process IP addresses, browser information, request times, and requested URLs for delivery, reliability, and security. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
We do not add advertising trackers, third-party marketing analytics, newsletter forms, or nonessential cookies to this website. Infrastructure providers may use information necessary to operate or secure their service.
If you email support, we receive your email address, the contents of your message, and anything you attach. We use Google Workspace to receive, store, and respond to those messages. Please do not send passwords, full payment-card details, or sensitive medical information. See Google’s privacy policy.
Retention & deletion
Local profile answers and saved recalls remain on your device until you change or remove them or delete the app’s data. Cache refresh and replacement depend on app use; they are not a guaranteed deletion schedule. Operating-system backups are controlled through your device and backup settings.
Support correspondence is kept while needed to answer and resolve your request, maintain relevant records, or meet legal obligations. Subscription and service records may be retained as needed to provide access and restoration, resolve billing questions, prevent fraud, and comply with applicable obligations. We do not promise a fixed deletion period for records held independently by Apple or other providers.
To request deletion of personal information we handle, contact support@recallrex.app. We may request limited information to identify the relevant record and verify your request. We will process applicable requests, subject to legal retention requirements. Deleting the app does not delete Apple’s purchase history or automatically cancel a subscription. Restoring or purchasing again can create new subscription records.
Your choices & rights
Optional profile fields can be left blank, changed, or cleared in Settings → Personal touches. You can remove individual saved recalls. Deleting the app removes its local app data from that device; restoring a backup may bring that data back.
You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information we hold, or to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to object, restrict processing, obtain a portable copy, or complain to a privacy authority. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request and will not penalize you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Security, location & children
We use reasonable safeguards for information we handle, including encrypted service connections and access controls provided by our service providers. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Providers may process information in countries outside your own, including the United States, subject to applicable safeguards.
Recall Rex is intended for general household use, not for children to submit personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can address it.
Changes & contact
We may update this policy as the app or our practices change. We will update the date above and provide any additional notice or consent required by law. For questions or privacy requests, email support@recallrex.app.
